Finding Spiritual Fulfilment Through Online Divinity Concierge Service 27Mantraa

In a country where technology is striding ahead at rapid speed, would the gods be left behind? If you live in a place where you can’t access temples for spiritual fulfilment, 27Mantraa can help. Founded in 2016 by Ajay and Aathmika, management graduates and research scholars with over 10 years of experience in working with major OTA’s, 27Mantraa is India’s first concierge service provider for divinity.

27Mantraa is a one-stop destination for all spiritual aspirations through a single platform. The team also has Chandrashekar Kupperi as co-founder and head of Strategic Alliance to leverage his financial and strategic expertise. With strengthened management and technology as an anchor, 27Mantraa is now endeavouring to provide customers with a holistic platform to fulfil all religious pursuits.

Presently, the company has raised an undisclosed amount of funding from a group of angel investors. The startup is advised by ANOVA Corporate Services, an investment banking and advisory firm. The fund raised will be utilized in technology development and team building across India.

The platform offers concierge service for 50 temples in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. With the funds, the company plans to raise it to 150 temples across India. During this phase, the company will launch offline outlets through franchise model, merchandising products, such as hand-crafted Pooja Mandirs under its own label ‘27Mantraa’.

27Mantraa’s service offerings range from remedy pujas and homams, e-archanai, spiritual yatras, spiritual trails, and e-prasad services for receiving holy prasad from religious places around the country.

“The segment, though an impressive USD 30 billion market, is still highly unorganized, served by small, fragmented players, and therefore, its disruption through technology is very important. We strive to serve the complete spectrum to our customers. With this round of funding, we intend to expand our services all across the country with much improved technology, which is user friendly,” says co-founder, Ajay.

“As a part of our expansion, we will raise the next round of pre-series A funding by June this year. The plan is to introduce VR technology services for temples in the next two years,” added Kupperi.

27Mantraa has also recently launched a novel ‘gift-a-puja’ concept, wherein one can request a puja to be performed in the name of their loved ones and get the prasad delivered in customized packaging to them on special occasions. The services offered are a need, especially for senior citizens and NRIs unable to practise their traditional beliefs at their choice of temple, given factors such as health or distance.

The platform currently offers traditional solutions through its online portal, and has successfully performed over 900+ poojas and homams since its launch. It has serviced customers across Asia, with predominant service requests coming from India, South-East Asia, and Middle East, for temples based in and around Tamil Nadu. The startup recently bagged the special jury award in the South Indian Start-up Awards concluded in Chennai during December 2018.
