Head to the Cloud: Entire economies could be impacted with the power of cloud

The power of cloud lies in a grand design that facilitates long term progress. Companies, big and small, are beginning to realize this. Entire economies could be impacted with the power of cloud.

During the pandemic, WFH and hybrid work has enabled businesses to a great extent but also exposed vulnerabilities. Never have businesses needed a cloud lifecycle management services partner to transform their technology to the cloud rapidly and without risk.

Efficient transformational partners club with established players like Oracle (OCI), Amazon (AWS) and Microsoft (Azure) to deliver cloud computing services that help organizations reduce cost. And the results are good.

For example, 3i Infotech Limited a global IT company, is now providing cloud and managed services to Bamboo Rose, a US based multi-enterprise product and supply chain platform. Both companies are committed to working on a joint go-to-market in select geographies.

Impacting an Entire Economy with Cloud

3i Infotech is also building an Edge-as-a-Service (EaaS) digital platform for the ASEAN region in Malaysia. The hub forms part of 3i Infotech’s expansion strategy in Malaysia and the APAC region.

The company will be collaborating with Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), Malaysia’s lead digital economy agency, for the development of the NextGen NuRe Cloud/Digital Edge platform for the ASEAN region, focusing on initiatives that include building multi-edge platform, cloud migration, HCI as a Service, multi-cloud operations, secure app infrastructure, cloud networking and more.

The move, which is planned over the coming five years, will create 1300+ jobs in Malaysia via 3i infotech’s ‘Hire-Train-Engage’ model. The collaboration with MDEC will also improve cross-border data transfer and increase cybersecurity uptake among businesses.

With the establishment of its NuRe platform, 3i Infotech will further drive the acceleration of digitalisation in Malaysia, in line with the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint (MyDIGITAL) as well as MDEC’s vision to drive a progressive, innovation-led digital economy

The vision of 3i Infotech’s Digital BPaaS (Business Process as a Service) and KPaaS (Knowledge Processing as a Service) vertical is to build opportunities for scalability, growth, and new business models in partnership with MDEC, and build a superior human and humanoid mix for business and knowledge processing services. It helps SMBs create their own COE’s within their own organization. This project will provide growth of employment opportunities for over 1000+ headcount over 3 years.

Since its establishment in 2002, 3i Infotech in Malaysia has served several large enterprise clients that include Maybank, CIMB, Eastspring Investments Berhad, Amanah Mutual Berhad, RHB Asset Management Sdn Bhd, and Kumpulan Wang Persaraan, to name a few. With strong tailwinds supporting its business and growth levers in place, the company looks to achieve an organic revenue growth of US$1 billion by 2030.

“With the establishment of its NuRe platform, 3i Infotech will further drive the acceleration of digitalisation in Malaysia, in line with the Malaysia Digital Economy Blueprint (MyDIGITAL) as well as MDEC’s vision to drive a progressive, innovation-led digital economy. We look forward to 20 more years of collaboration and innovation with 3i Infotech,” said Raymond Siva, Senior Vice President, Investment and Brand and Chief Marketing Officer, MDEC.

Cloud to Increase Scalability of a Company

NxtGen, a data centre and Digital Transformation services company, has started offering Enterprise Cloud Services (ECS) to PeopleStrong, an Asian SaaS-based HR Technology company, and is helping them set up their entire User Acceptance Testing (UAT). NxtGen provided a reliable solution to absorb newer technologies to the HR Tech company to increase its scalability.

Scalability, security, high availability, and performance are some of the key parameters that such companies seek to focus on, to be the leaders in the marketplace

IT infrastructure plays a critical role in running the business operations of companies like PeopleStrong as their SaaS offerings are hosted on the cloud platform. Scalability, security, high availability, and performance are some of the key parameters that such companies seek to focus on, to be the leaders in the marketplace.

The NxtGen datacenter and cloud technologies assisted PeopleStrong to set up their entire UAT, which allows them to perform all the activities before going live. In addition, NxtGen provided a dev environment to conduct pre-production POCs, test setups of a few services, users and functionalities, integration validations and change management, etc.

By leveraging NxtGen’s ECS for their UAT Environment, PeopleStrong reduced the size of their datacenter or and eliminated their datacenter footprint. In addition, it helped PeopleStrong provide a significant return on investment and increase their customer confidence through reassurance that all requirements are met.

This resulted in the reduction of the numbers of servers, the software cost, and the number of staff required, which resulted in a significant reduction of IT costs without impacting their organization’s IT capabilities.
