New tech on the block: Entertainment-tech, Cleantech & Crypto

The Tech Panda takes a look at recent tech launches.

Entertainment-tech: World’s First On-Chain Entertainment IP Launchpad

Mugafi, an entertainment-tech and AI-driven IP creation platform, tied up with Avalanche to launch the world’s first dedicated Entertainment IP Launchpad, bringing real-world entertainment assets from films and anime to music and sports, on-chain as tokenized Real-World Assets (RWAs). The partnership aims to solve one of the biggest structural inefficiencies in global entertainment financing. Despite being a $2.2 trillion industry, access to entertainment assets has historically been restricted to studios, private equity funds, and legacy gatekeepers. Retail audiences, creators, and Web3 communities generate cultural value yet remain excluded from ownership, yield, or decision-making.

Vipul Agarwal, CEO, Mugafi, said, “Our mission is to make entertainment financing transparent, accessible, and data-driven. Partnering with Avalanche allows us to bring institutional-quality IPs on-chain with the speed, security, and scalability the ecosystem demands. Together, we’re creating a new asset class that unlocks meaningful value for studios, creators, and global investors.”

Cleantech: Bengaluru’s first waste-to-value park to reduce landfill load

Carbon Masters India Pvt Ltd (CMIPL), a climate-tech venture pioneering circular economy solutions, has collaborated with Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) and Saatarem Alternative Fuel and Energy Pvt. Ltd. (SAAFE), to build Bengaluru’s first waste-to-value park to reduce landfill load. When fully developed, the project is expected to process approximately 900 TPD of source-separated organic waste, producing around 30 TPD of Carbonlites® biomethane (compressed biogas) and 750 TPD of organic fertiliser. In the first phase, a  biomethane (CBG) plant will process 300 TPD of organic waste to produce 10 TPD of  biomethane and 250 TPD of organic fertiliser.

Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar said: “Bengaluru has been challenged by the rapid growth of both our population and our waste. With this project at Kannahalli, we are demonstrating that waste is not a liability but a resource. By converting our city’s waste into clean fuel, power and organic fertiliser, we will reduce the pressure on landfills, cut pollution and create new green jobs. This can become a model for cities across Karnataka and India”.

Crypto: FIU-Compliant INR-USDT Conversion Service for Indian Users

Bitget Wallet, the everyday finance app, has become the first major platform to integrate USDT Marketplace to provide users in India with an additional channel for converting Indian rupees into USDT. The update introduces a cheaper, faster and locally compliant option as demand for stablecoins continues to grow across India’s digital economy. The integration was announced during India Blockchain Week, where Bitget Wallet engaged with local users and partners as part of its broader South Asia outreach.

“Stablecoins play a practical role for many users in India from receiving overseas income to participating in global markets and holding part of their savings in a USD-linked form,” said Jamie Elkaleh, CMO of Bitget Wallet. “By integrating USDT Marketplace, we’re adding a reliable and cost-efficient rail between INR and USDT, supporting our wider goal of making access to digital assets smooth and economically fair for anyone entering the space.”

Cleantech: Special Edition Graphic Novel to Mark the Golden Jubilee of Mumbai High Discovery

In a unique storytelling venture, Amar Chitra Katha, a legendary and beloved Indian comic series, in collaboration with Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) unveiled a special edition graphic novel titled The Energy Superhero. This collaboration brings to life the extraordinary journey of India’s “energy soldiers” in a format designed to inspire and educate the nation’s youth.

Cleantech: Pilot Project to Supply 70,000 Litres of Recycled Water Daily in Bengaluru

Boson Whitewater, a water utility company that converts STP-treated water into high-quality potable water, has announced a pilot project with the Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) at the Kadubeesanahalli Government Sewage Treatment Plant (STP) near Marathahalli.

Vikas Brahmavar, Co-Founder of Boson Whitewater said, “This pilot demonstrates how Bengaluru can move towards a true circular water economy. By supplying 70,000 litres of high-quality water every day, we are not only conserving precious freshwater but also ensuring that treated wastewater is put to productive use within the city. If scaled, this model can transform how our city manages its water.”
