Scott Forstall Deserved to be Ousted from Apple Says Former Apple Exec

The man known as the “father” of the iPod has invested his energy in a home appliance: a thermostat.

Tony Fadell caused surprise when he quit Apple in 2008 after heading its music player division. Fortune magazine once tipped him as a successor to former chief executive, Steve Jobs.

In a rare interview he talked to the BBC’s Leo Kelion about his time working on the iPod, his relationship with Scott Forstall at Apple, and his new Nest project.
