The No. 2 Top November Destination is Varanasi, according to Sim Local

Varanasi, India was just voted as one of the top destinations to travel to in November by eSIM enterprise Sim Local.

The spiritual capital of India, the city regularly draws Hindu pilgrims who bathe in the Ganges River’s sacred waters and perform funeral rites.

“Witness the Festival of Lights in one of India’s oldest and most sacred cities. Varanasi’s ghats along the Ganges River glow with thousands of oil lamps, and fireworks light up the sky. It’s a mesmerising blend of spirituality and celebration,” said the guide.

For 2024, Varanasi edged out London for London Jazz, which came in 3rd. Oaxaca, Mexico took the top spot in November for Día de los Muertos.

According to editors, November “sits comfortably between the summer hustle and the Christmas bustle—a prime, affordable time to escape and explore. Plus, if you’ve got annual leave or holidays that won’t roll over, it’s the perfect excuse to pack your bags.”
